When I saw Fagan Park for the first time, I loved it. There were families, couples, joggers, all enjoying the beautifully manicured gardens and ponds. Fagan Park was perfect … but it was missing one thing…
Good Coffee! I am a “people person” and a coffee lover, so during the pandemic, I decided to open up something to serve the people who come to enjoy the beautiful park. After the lockdowns all people wanted to do was get out to beaches and parks, so I thought what better way to do my small bit.
When running the cafe, I knew two things mattered most: high-quality products, and providing high-quality service. So I focused on sourcing the right coffee beans, the best equipment and getting the right experienced staff; all this paid off and made for an easy-open last November. We have now created a great local client base which is growing weekly. We have received lots of positive feedback from customers and are now planning to run the cafe over weekdays—our way of supporting people’s enjoyment of the park throughout the week as well as weekends.
