New Hope Christian School has been educating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and intellectual delay for the past eight years however August 16 was a special day for staff, families and students with the official opening ceremony of their new campus.
The event at Quarry Road, Dural, celebrated the modern purpose-built facilities which are laid out to create a relaxed ‘village-like’ feel. It features bright and airy classrooms, a Life Skills centre, time out zones, colourful playground, passive areas to walk or sit and relax, communal spaces and beautiful landscaping. The School looks out on thick bushland to add to its serenity. Further expansions are planned for the future.
In the words of Director, Dianne Dowson, the school reflects “a philosophy of high care and support for the students.”
The Federal Member for Berowra, Julian Leeser MP, and the Member for Hornsby, the Honourable Matt Kean MP, attended and spoke to the gathering of over 100 parents, teachers, students and friends of the school.
New Hope Christian School caters for children from Years 1-12.
