Emma Heyde and Hornsby Greens for Council

The Greens are receiving overwhelming support for their vision of a clean, green Hornsby Shire with well-maintained community facilities for everyone to enjoy like larger libraries, inclusive playgrounds and recreational opportunities for older children.

Emma Heyde is standing for Mayor with a strong track record of working hard for the community. She has wins on smarter waste management solutions, support for community pre-schools and new design standards for future developments.

Emma consistently wins the trust of the community through her energetic delivery for local families.

Emma tackles complex issues with fairness and integrity. She strives to ensure residents have a say on the big issues: action on climate change, over-development, protecting our rural areas, minimising landfills and reducing traffic congestion. Emma is intent on seeing see the council work towards net zero with solar panels on all council buildings.

Tania Salitra is standing for Ward A. With a background in manufacturing management, Tania is keen to use her results-focused energy to drive more support for our tourism, agriculture and small business. She wants to improve footpaths and cycleways; and ensure developments are appropriate for communities and infrastructure.

With many communities saying they feel ignored, Tania is determined to change this with strong Greens on council who care, listen and deliver for residents and communities, with an emphasis on community-based planning.

Monika Ball is standing for Ward B. As a committee member of Pennant Hills District Civic Trust for 10 years, Monika is an advocate for the community and the environment. She is a driving force in organising community clean-ups and tree planting for Ward B; and is devoted to ensuring council decisions are financially, socially and environmentally sound.

Vote 1 Greens this local council election for stronger protection of our bush, rural lands and waterways with a team committed to communities and the environment, not the property industry.
