Amelie is a public speaking winner!

Arcadia Public School students Sophie, Aurora, Noah and Amelie spoke out in July at the area final of the NSW Department of Education Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition with Amelie taking top place in the Year 5 and 6 final! Congratulations Amelie!

She now moves to the Regional finals with the State competition well in her sights. Public speaking, debating and leadership are key aspects in our students’ academic and extra – curricular life with opportunities for each to develop into confident and engaging speakers. What a great role model you are, Amelie! It wasn’t the world cup, however there was a great sense of rivalry and fun as Arcadia Public School versed Bathurst’s O’Connell Public School in the July small school soccer knockout. Congratulations to both teams on their sportsmanship – see you next year!

Well done to our talented equestrian students Toby and Daisy who won Reserve Champion and Champion at the June Northside Winter Hack Show.

Congratulations to the Small School’s Learning Alliance – Annangrove Public School, Arcadia Public School, Hillside Public School and Middle Dural Public School for the fantastic combined school event, ObstAcool Fun Day held in June. The teachers, parents and students enjoyed a really successful day, sponsored by the Galston Branch of the Bendigo Bank. Once again, their generosity and community spirit has contributed to excellent opportunities and learning resources for our students.
