Spring has truly sprung, and as we enter into the countdown towards Christmas and the birth of Christ, our thoughts and prayers are with those who are less fortunate than ourselves. Individuals and families fighting poverty, illness and uncertainties in their lives, regardless of their culture and beliefs are always welcome at the Salvos.
Our 2 Hills District stores, one in Dural and the other at Glenorie, operate to bring you the best in donated items, from clothes and crockery to boots and books, and everything in between!! Money raised goes straight back into our community to support those in need.
Summer fashions are now on the racks, as are sandals and sling-backs. Electric heaters are giving way to coolers and fans, and Christmas decorations, ornaments and china will be finding their way onto the shelves.
It is with much sadness that we share with you the passing of Sue Cawley on 6th October. Sue was an integral part of the Friday Linen Ladies team, always positive, always wearing a smile, and played a large role in the cohesion of the Friday afternoon volunteers. Our thoughts, prayers and support are with her husband, Rob, and daughters, Lisa and Amanda.
Salvos Half Price Day
