It is so disappointing to see that the NSW Government’s recently released budget provides no new money for essential services and infrastructure in our area.

The residents of Hornsby don’t deserve to be punished by this Labor government because of where they live. This is a stark reminder that we have returned to the bad old days of Labor, where nothing gets built.

On a more positive note, I would like to recognize the Glenorie Progress Association for being proactive for their community. They recently hosted representatives from the Hills Rural Fire Service who gave a presentation to residents about preparing for the Bush Fire Season.

Finally, I was so pleased to support a donation of a large stack of local history books to the Galston High School library from the collection of the late Tom Richmond OAM, who was a former history teacher at the school from when it opened in 1974 until 1981.

After the school’s library was destroyed by fire in 2014, the facility was rebuilt in 2016. Now the school has been provided with these wonderful resources on the district’s history under Tom’s name.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
