Nominated Pairs Tournament Reaches Final Showdown

The Nominated Pairs Tournament has come down to two partnerships. Stuart Yeend and Phil Laing will face Graeme Giles and Rob Whiddon in the championship match, the Big Match, on Saturday, 19th September 2026.

After several weeks of tight, high-quality contests on the club’s greens and a run of hard-fought rounds, the four players have earned their places in the final, and the club has congratulated them.

More silverware is still to be decided before the year is out. The Women’s Major Singles begins on 6th October 2026, and the Men’s Major Singles follows, starting 24th October 2026. Both are among the club’s premium events.

Two carnivals are also on the spring calendar. The Carnival Triples on 28th September is sponsored by the Dural Club, and the Carnival Pairs on 26th October is sponsored by Living Choice. The club says its carnivals always bring a fantastic atmosphere, and this spring is expected to be no different.

On the pennants front, the club’s two teams have finished the first two of their six rounds. Results have been mixed, with some hard-fought battles and good sportsmanship on the greens. The competition is fierce this year, but four rounds remain and plenty is still up for grabs. The club has wished both teams the best of luck for the rest of the season.

For anyone curious about the game, free lessons from qualified coaches are available. Phone Rob Whiddon on 0411 375 580.
