Hills Hawks Football Club has finished its 2026 season with two Grand Final victories, along with numerous other achievements to celebrate.
Eight of the club’s competition teams made the finals, and three of those went on to play in Grand Finals. Two came home as Premiers: the U13/1 Women’s Team and the U13/4 Mixed Team. Both sides finished the year at the very top of their competitions.
The wins come from a club that fields players of nearly every age. Teams run from preschoolers right through to over 45s, with everyone in between, and the club says its members spent the year having fun, getting fit, and working through tough battles together, on and off the pitch.
Off the field, the Hawks kept busy. The club’s well-known BBQ and canteen kept the community fed, and a run of special events filled out the calendar, including Gala Day, Female Football Week, Ladies Day, Mini Discos and a Comedy Night that had the crowd laughing out loud.
None of it happens without people. The club credits its sponsors, along with a large team of volunteer coaches, managers and committee members who give their time and energy to keep things running. For a club like this, it is a real investment in the community.
Anyone keen to be part of next season can start at the Annual General Meeting on 18th November at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome.
