HILLSIDE RELAY TEAM FIRST AT SYDNEY NORTH ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

Our small schools relay team won first place at the recent Sydney North Athletics Carnival held at Homebush. The team – Aaleyah, Madison, Samuel and Harrison will now represent the school at the NSW State PSSA Athletics Carnival early next term. Everyone is very proud of their achievement. Our Touch Football Team is playing in the finals at the end of the term. A wonderful result for our first year of competition.

Hillside is currently enrolling for 2019.

If you are wanting a school where

• the classes are not overcrowded,

• every student is encouraged and nurtured to do their personal best,

• students learn tolerance and understanding because of our peer activities,

• there are outstanding facilities including a dedicated STEAM room (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths)

• there are more sporting opportunities as a small school,

• there is a 1:1 ratio of iPads and Notebook computers.

then Hillside is your school.

The senior students recently returned from camp where they learned many new sporting skills such as archery and canoeing. They were challenged to work collaboratively to complete the initiative course and build a fire to cook their dampers. It was a wonderful but challenging three days for our senior students.

Term 4 is always very busy in any school, but more so at Hillside as our students and staff work hard to produce a pantomime for our families and friends. Music and drama are integrated into the Hillside classroom programs and students enjoy the opportunities afforded them in performing for their parents and friends.

Every day is Open Day at Hillside, so please visit our wonderful school. Contact the school office on 9652 1459 if you would like more information.
