Galston’s new pride and joy
This month the Galston Rural Fire Brigade was fortunate enough to take possession of a brand new Category 10 Pumper from the Rural Fire Service. The new vehicle will allow the brigade to return to its full strength and deliver the best possible coverage for the Galston Community and surrounds.
This brand new appliance delivers a much higher pumping capacity, better equipment stowage, the latest in high visibility makings, as well as some very impressive work and scene lighting. The pumper will also allow for additional equipment to be stored permanently on the appliance – making the brigades job easier and more effective.
This appliance will not only improve the ability for fire-fighters to do their job more effectively but greatly improves all-round safety with many aspects of our emergency response.
The brigade will be conducting numerous driving familiarisation, pumping, and training sessions over the coming weeks, and look forward to putting it on line when all our training is complete.
