Laura Jane Waltisbuhl, of Laura Jane Hair at Glenorie is leaving the area after more than a decade of owning and running her very successful business.
Laura opened her Salon in July 2010 within the Glenorie Village Complex and around eight years ago she moved to the premises next door joining with Lisa of Blush skin care, situated behind the Vinnies Op Shop. After Vinnies vacated several years ago, she relocated to the empty space and remodeled and expanded it into the elegant salon it is today.
Along with husband Nick and children Chloe (8) and Jack (5), Laura will be moving in January to acreage in beautiful Yamba, where she will continue hairdressing under the eponymous name.
While leaving will be sad, she is looking forward to the change, “This salon has been my home away from home for 13 years, and many of my customers have become good friends, so of course I will miss being here very much.”
Long term fellow stylist, Kristy Walker, has been at Laura’s side for the past 10 years and she will be taking over the business under a new name: Glenorie Hair Studio. Kristy, a resident of Wisemans Ferry, mother of two boys, Flynn (11) and Xavier (10) will be transitioning Laura’s clients along with new Staff Member, Jordan.
The Salon will continue to be open from Tuesday to Saturday, with late night trading on Tuesdays.
