Dural Scout Group finished off the year with considerable activity.
The Cubs went camping at Bundilla Scout Camp. They practised campcraft skills including ropework, fire-lighting and cooking. The evening campfire was great fun, particularly the roasted marshmallows.
Cubs and Joeys had a combined fishing night at Berowra Waters. Lots of fun trying to hook a line, fish etc and then eating/enjoying the left- over packets of biscuits from the weekend camp. Finally, we had our Group family BBQ Christmas party at Galston Oval. We always look forward each year to meeting everyone in the Dural Scouting family. A very big thank you to Luke at Eric’s Tender Meats for donating all the BBQ food.
All members are excited with the major events planned for this year.
Joey Fun Day is a one- day activity for our youngest scouts where they can meet other youth members from all over Greater Western Sydney Region, have some fun and adventure completing lots of exciting activities and learning about the world around them.
Scouts Jamborette is a 4-day camp held over the long weekend in June at Cataract Scout Park near Appin. Scouts can meet others from over the Greater Western Sydney Region and work in patrols to complete a range of exciting activity bases.
The NSW Cuboree is a 5-day camp for Cubs, which will be held at Cataract Scout Park in September. It is an amazing event which brings together Cubs from across NSW!
