Arcadia Pony Club success at Zone 23 Showriding Championships

A large contingent of riders from Arcadia Pony Club attended the Zone 23 Showriding Championships hosted by Forest Hills Pony Club on Sunday 29th April. Zone 23 competitors includes riders from Arcadia, Avondale, Dural, and of course Forest Hills.

With a fresh start to the day and black clouds looming, competitors were a little concerned that the event would be a repeat of the 2017 event whereby the heavens opened and the rain poured down. It was, fortunately, not to be the case, with the sun finally making an appearance.

The members from Arcadia Pony Club performed very strongly, winning Champion in five of the eight categories on the day and with Rosie Kenny also wining well deserved Supreme Champion.

Beginner – Champion – Alyssa Cepak
Novice – Champion – Rosie Coachman
Aged 9 and under 11 – Champion – Laura Parker
Aged 11 and under 13 – Champion – Rosie Kenny
Aged 15 and under 17 – Alexandra Langthorne

Congratulations to all of our riders who participated on the day, cheered each other on and represented our club so well. Arcadia Pony Club would also like to thank Forest Hills Pony Club and everyone associated with the event for a wonderful day.

Come ride with us – join us for fun, friendship and competitions.

Arcadia Pony Club has a “come and try” programme for riders aged between 4 – 25 years with their own horses or ponies, where you can come along to a Rally Day and gain some riding instruction, meet new friends and have a lot of fun.

We meet on the first, third and fifth Sunday every month at the Rural Sports Facility in Galston. To find out more about Arcadia Pony Club and to see our instructor profiles, please visit http://www.arcadiaponyclub.org
