Open Nominated Pairs Final honours went to Stuart Yeend and Phil Laing, who won the 2026 title at Dural by beating Graeme Giles and Robert Whiddon 22-12. It capped a busy stretch for the club, with a state qualifier and a major carnival packed into the same few days.

Over the weekend of Saturday 26th September, Kate Liu and Tony Simnor represented Dural at the 2026 Bowls NSW Rookie Pairs Metro North-West Qualifiers at Toongabbie Sports and Bowling Club. They won all three matches and earned a place in the semi-finals. They returned to Toongabbie on Sunday 27th September, where rain made conditions difficult. The Dural pair met the Hills duo in the semi-final and could not extend their winning run, going down to their opponents. The club congratulated both players on a strong showing.
On Monday 28th September, Dural hosted the 2nd Parramatta League and Dural Club Sponsored Triples Carnival. The field reached its full complement of 28 teams from 26 different clubs, some travelling from as far as Brisbane, the Central Coast, Corrimal, Waverley, Mosman, Glenbrook and Penrith. Overcast skies and slow greens after earlier rain slowed play, but the day finished with plenty of banter, a lunch, a presentation and a raffle. The winning team came from Glenbrook.
Looking ahead, the next carnival, sponsored by Living Choice, is on Monday 26th October. The Ladies Major Singles has reached the semi-final stage, and the Men’s Major Singles starts on 24th October.
