Achieving a 61 st placement in the NSW HSC Rankings, Northholm Grammar was the highest performing non-selective, co-education school in the Hills District for 2020. Northholm’s standing as a leading school in the Sydney metropolitan region is a remarkable result, having jumped 247 positions over two years, from 308th in 2018 and 113 th in 2019. Highlights of the 2020 results include:

  • 85% of students gaining at least one Band 5 or Band 6.
  • 55% of students gaining at least a Band 6.
  • 92% of courses achieved above State Average marks.

Northholm is driven by a deep belief that every student is capable of successful learning. ‘Learning through scholarship’ encourages intellectual rigour, independent thinking and valuing academic study and achievement. Our students are challenged to develop a love of learning so they can harness intellectual habits that will allow them to be independent and confident.

In addition to the extraordinary academic results, Northholm Grammar is equally proud of the character development and pastoral attentiveness our students have demonstrated. Believing that schools have a moral responsibility to help students become well-rounded individuals, ‘The Northholm Way’ allows students to grow as individuals, find their passions and contribute to a thriving society.

We congratulate Lauren Ivory, Samuel Allen and Ciaran Dyson who achieved their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. Our success in the Creative and Performing Arts is reflected in the Encore Nomination (Music) for Bridget Davey and Art Express Nominations for Bethany Dewhurst and Charlie Wilton. Contributing to the community, the Year 12s engaged in service initiative during their time at Northholm which included raising $30,000 for Destiny Rescue and $15,000 for Project India.

With the global pandemic influencing their final year of schooling and facing many sacrifices such as face-to-face teaching and significant rites of passage, our students were superb in meeting the challenges of the HSC Examinations with enormous resilience and character. Congratulations to the Northholm Grammar Class of 2020 on their truly remarkable 2020 results.
