Stringer Road Reserve, the largest sports complex in North Kellyville is now getting very close to completion.
I inspected the works that are taking place and am amazed at the speed our contractors are working at to get the facility open for our residents and sports teams.
Current works on site include landscaping works, concreting works and the laying of asphalt to the carpark, as well as the completion of the playground installation and internal works to the amenities building.
When it is open, Stringer Road Reserve will be the largest sports complex in North Kellyville and will feature:
- Four multi-purpose rectangular natural turf sports fields that can be reconfigured into two ovals. It is envisaged that the allocation will be to Football in Winter and Cricket in Summer;
- Two full-size basketball courts;
- Four cricket practice cricket nets;
- A local playground with picnic facilities;
- An amenities building with accessible toilets, change rooms, a kiosk, a referee room, and storage;
- Onsite carpark; and
- Concrete shared pathways.
I am excited to see the local community get the opportunity to use Stringer Road Reserve in the upcoming months.
