Show Chairman John Layton anticipates close to three hundred specimen plants will be on display including latest breeding results. These will include green, lime, lemon, pink, peach, variegated, stunning bronze as well as bi-colour and dwarf specimens. Featured this year will be stunning red-bronze specimens of ‘Moonlight Bronze’ as well as pink edged European peach.
Well known Horticulturist Judy Horton will officially open the display 11.00am Saturday 14th September at Thornleigh Community Centre, Phyllis Avenue, Thornleigh. Visitors will have the opportunity to vote on both the ‘People’s Choice for Best on Show as well as the best First Flowering. There will be continuous demonstrations, videos, guest speakers providing education on Clivias, tips for gardeners on care and cultivation and of course, plant and seed sales. Up to twelve specialist Clivia growers will be on hand to answer questions and give guidance to visitors on matters Clivia.
New members are welcome and will be presented with a starter pack including sought after seedlings and seed together with ‘How to Care’ notes and recent Newsletter Publications. A spectacular display of stunning blooms, images and information not to be missed.
