Term-End Fun for Dural Scouts

Dural Scouts finished the term with a night at the local indoor rock-climbing centre. Rock climbing is a great way for scouts to have fun while building their confidence and problemsolving skills.

All scouts experienced various climbing routes and fitness levels and the friendly staff at The Edge were on standby to help them learn new skills. Thank you, Venturer Kristina Taylor, who organised this activity as part of her Peak Award Badgework and all the parents who helped make a successful night.

Rock climbing Fun for Dural ScoutsPizza for all topped off a perfect night. Dural Cubs and Joeys held a joint night of fun and adventure for end of term. They cooked toast on fire at the front of the hall using a green stick toaster and enjoyed eating with loads of butter and jam. This was followed by fun rides on the Gyroscout/Gyro Rings.

What an adventure; experiencing the Laws of Physics – a product of Angular momentum and Gravity on such a ride! A big THANK YOU to The Wolf and other leaders who helped build this for our youth members.

Dural Scout Group has vacancies for Girls and Boys from 5 to 25 years. Joeys (5yo), Cubs (8yo), Scouts (12yo) and Venturers (16yo). Please contact Phirooza: 0411 731 976 or [email protected] or Simon: [email protected]
