In observance of the National Day of Mourning and the national public holiday on Thursday 22 September, following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, most Council facilities and services will have amended hours or close for the day.

Libraries
Hornsby, Pennant Hills, Galston and Berowra libraries will be closed for the day.
Thornleigh Community Recycling Centre (CRC)
The CRC will be closed for the day. Waste collections will continue as normal.
Community Centres
Pre-booked community centres will be available through the existing remote access arrangements.
Customer Service
Council’s customer service centre will be closed for the day. Our after-hours phone service will be available throughout the day to report urgent requests or issues on 9847 6666.
Hornsby Aquatic & Leisure Centre (HALC)
HALC will be open for the restricted hours of 7am – 6:45pm. Learn To Swim lessons and squad classes will not be held. If you normally attend a class on a Thursday, you will receive a credit against your name.
Thornleigh Brickpit
The Brickpit will be open for limited hours between 9am – 6pm.
