Pacific Hills Christian School: The Importance of Gratitude in Community

At Pacific Hills Christian School we consider gratitude, and teaching gratitude to students, an important part of what makes up our School community.

Pacific Hills student Flynn McManus recently competed at the Lions Youth of the Year State Finals where he did an outstanding job representing our School and the local Lions Club. This is a significant achievement, and we are incredibly proud of him. As a Year 12 student preparing for the next season of his life, Flynn reflects on the School and community with gratitude:

“Whether it be taking part in the Lions Youth of the Year competition or just the day-to-day work in the classroom, I am so very thankful for the servant hearts all my teachers possess, and the love they bear for all their students. Such an attitude to education is so evidently rooted in the Biblical example and teachings of Jesus. Although the future may seem ambiguous and challenging, there is such a hope and comfort found in our loving community of friends and staff…

As a School we are thankful for our students, families, staff and the wider community we are part of. May stories like Flynn’s encourage you to consider what you might be thankful for and to look forward with hope, acknowledging God’s goodness in the past and trusting Him with what lies ahead.
