The Hawkesbury community is being given one last chance to shape the future of the Hawkesbury Oasis Aquatic and Fitness Centre.
Following initial consultation in 2024, Council has revised its concept plans for the $6.7 million upgrade, funded by the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program.
These updated plans, available for review at www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au/oasis-aquatic-and-leisure-centre-improvements, feature a new shallow-depth program pool designed for learn-to-swim and senior programs, complete with an accessibility ramp and warm water therapy capabilities.
The redesign also includes dedicated school-age amenities, a new outdoor covered gym area for functional training and group fitness, and an interactive, zero-depth splash park. A covered deck will connect new changerooms to the outdoor café, and additional parking will accommodate larger events.
Residents are encouraged to provide their feedback on the proposed plans by visiting www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au before the survey closes on Friday, March 28, 2025. This final round of community input will directly influence the final design proposals.
For further information, the community can visit the project website or contact Council’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program Manager, Rupesh Shah, at 4560 4444 or [email protected],au.
