Galston Garden Club

Next meeting will be on 9th October Guest speaker will be Michell Jones Talks about “The Wonderful world of Begonias”

Only weeks to go until the Galston Garden Club’s OPEN GARDEN WEEKEND.

The Club is excited to open 8 acreage gardens and are most grateful to the owners who are probably working tirelessly to present their gardens at their best. These are acreages but have features which can be readily adapted to any garden environment, large or small.

Visitors will find a host of plants of all shapes and sizes, spectacular flowering shrubs, wonderful specimen trees, water features, garden architecture and lots of ideas. It is always fascinating to see how different owners have developed their gardens to suit the topography of the land and their own tastes and interests.

The Galston Garden Club would like to thank all the garden owners who have so generously agreed to share their gardens. We hope you have a pleasant and relaxing visit admiring their handiwork and go home full of enthusiasm for gardening.

Please visit our website for full descriptions of the gardens being presented and where you can buy tickets. All money raised will be distributed among many charities including ones chosen by the garden owners.

The Galston Garden Club meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7.30 in the Community Hall, 37 Arcadia Road, Galston. At our meeting this month Herbie Hempill of Herbie’s Spices gave a very interesting and informative presentation explaining various herbs and spices, and a little about their history.

At our October meeting our guest speaker will be Michell Jones, “The Wonderful world of Begonias”. Visitors and new members are always welcome at our meetings. See you there!
