Fatal Crash at Putty Road, Wilberforce

The NSW Police reports that a woman has died in a two-vehicle fatal crash northwest of Sydney. At about 12:40 pm, Tuesday, 12 November 2024, emergency services were called to Putty Road, Wilberforce, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Hawkesbury Police Area Command attended and found two vehicles – a Holden and a Toyota Landcruiser – had collided.

The driver of the Holden – a woman believed to be aged in her 70s – died at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota – a 57-year-old man – and his two passengers were uninjured. The 57-year-old man will be taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established, and Police have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The Police mentioned that a report will be prepared for the coroner.

Putty Road is closed in both directions as investigations by Police are still being done and may take some time.

According to Live Traffic NSW, as of 4:31 PM, access for local residents only is available between East Kurrajong Road and Moles Road.

“Heavy vehicles travelling between Sydney and Hunter Valley are advised to use the M1 Pacific Motorway,” Live Traffic NSW reports.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and check Live Traffic for updates.
