Crazy Sock Day at Mt Wilga

The Mt Wilga NDIS Team, in Hornsby, marked World Down Syndrome Day on Thursday 21st March with a Crazy Sock Day fundraiser for Down Syndrome NSW.

We also celebrated success stories about our NDIS Participants who have Down syndrome. Many are achieving great progress as they work on their NDIS goals.

One such success story is that of local man, Gavin, who has been accessing speech pathology services at Mt Wilga to develop his fluency and language skills. Gavin has increased his confidence with communicating at work and when in the community.

Gavin loves going on train rides, having lunch at the beach and watching his favourite team, the Parramatta Eels, play rugby league. Gavin is pictured here on Mt Wilga’s Crazy Sock Day with his speech pathologist – Maz Kafes – an expert in disability.

Mt Wilga NDIS Manager, Dale Carn says: “Our point of difference as an NDIS Allied Health provider is that we offer all allied health disciplines in the one place, with a truly multi-disciplinary approach.”

The Mt Wilga NDIS Service is your local allied health provider offering Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, Psychology, as well as Hydrotherapy.

Please call the Mt Wilga NDIS Team on 9847 5359 for any enquiries.
