Community Sponsorship Program applications for 2026/27 are now open, and round one runs from October 1 to October 31, 2026. Hawkesbury Council is inviting individuals, teams and organisations to apply for support and hopes to back a varied and interesting mix of projects this year.
The program has three categories. The first, Resilient Hawkesbury, offers up to $3,000 to community organisations working to make the area more connected, healthy, inclusive and resilient. Council runs workshops, support groups, and other initiatives that bring people together.
The second category, Participation, is for people chosen to represent the Hawkesbury at a state, national or international sporting or cultural event. Individuals can receive $150, while a team of five or more can receive $750 to help with the cost of getting there.
The third category, Access to Community Facilities, is open to not-for-profit community groups based in the Hawkesbury or providing services to it. Eligible groups can apply for a 50 per cent subsidy on the cost of hiring a Council or community facility, to a maximum contribution of $750.
Anyone whose plans fit one of these categories is encouraged to apply. Before submitting, applicants are advised to read the Community Sponsorship Program Strategy Document, the assessment matrix and the FAQs.
