Thanks to the very generous support of local businesses and residents, the Community Defib Project Glenorie is making progress with its goal of having 24/7 accessible equipment for all residents and visitors across the community.
The first installation in Moores Road was sponsored by Alpine Treemovals and number two for Glenorie was recently installed with sponsorship from Glenorie RSL. This newly installed equipment is located on the fence along the driveway to the RSL.
Another deserving shout out goes to local small businesses Onyx Finance and Cafe Sasanqua as well as the personal donations from residents, which has our fund pool climbing.
We are very excited to also be working with the Lions Club of Cherrybrook/West Pennant Hills to finalise the installation of equipment near the Les Shore Reserve. This location is another critical one for our community, being a location visited by many from outside the area for markets, school and sporting events.
There’s more work to be done to reach the target for Glenorie to ensure all residents are no more than 10 minutes from this life saving piece of equipment. We’re sure you’ll all agree that a suitable location along Cattai Ridge Road is another significant area to be covered. You can help achieve this goal by donating personally or through business sponsorship. Package information is available from the [email protected] or drop in and see the Committee at the next market day.
Once defib number three is installed, we will host a community information day to provide training and additional information. Stay tuned, this will be a fun family friendly event for all.
