This year Dural Country Club Bowling Club recognised the service of three long-serving members with the award of Life Membership.
Gordon Scoble, Marelle Saunders and Judith Harris have joined the current Life Members, Nick Sheerin, Larry Gillespie, Max Turrell and Doug Farlow. All have been the backbone of Dural bowling for many years.
Some of the most important roles are invisible until noone does them and then their absence is very evident. While these three people are around not many tasks are missed.
Between them Marelle, Judith and Gordon have served over 60 years in a wide variety of roles from President. Secretary, Coach, Umpire, Leaders at District/Zone level and all the roles which keep an active club running successfully.
At the end of year celebrations, the three were presented with Life Membership badges and framed citations to commemorate their contribution to the club.
