Citizen of the Year: Rajiv Chaudhri of The Community Foundation Of North Western Sydney

Senior Citizen of the Year: Paul Rapp of Kenthurst Rotary

Young Citizen of the Year: Ryan Barton of The Hills SES

Environmental Citizen of the Year: Elaine White from the Community Environment Centre

Community Group of the Year: NSW SES The Hills Unit The highly commended award winners were

Senior Citizen of the Year: Shubha Kumar of the India Club and Patricia Lee

Young Citizen of the Year: Mia Macklan and Ziyan Tejani of Macquarie University Amnesty International

Environmental Citizen of the Year: Claude Corrente of the Community Environment Centre

Community Group of the Year: Positive Vibes Foundation and Fit Kidz Foundation

I was also proud to present both Connie Keith and Pratibha Bhanushali with special Mayoral Recognition Awards for their incredible service to the community.

Congratulations to all of our award winners and nominees for their incredible efforts for the community. The Hills is so blessed to be served by thousands of volunteers and hundreds of community groups, and this Australia Day, we pay tribute to all of you for what you do for our region.
