The Spirit Lives on ANZAC Day at Netherby, Fagan Park

The Friends of Fagan Park extend an invitation to all to our Open Day on ANZAC Day, 25th April, 10am -3pm. While wandering around the the old Fagan farm and exploring the past, take time to reflect upon all of those who have served Australia in previous conflicts and those who continue to serve today.

Over at Netherby Homestead, immerse yourself in our very special ANZAC exhibition with a focus on Leslie Rupert Fagan, Samuel and Emma Fagan’s son who lost his life in WW1. There will be an amazing display of memorabilia form WW1 and WW2. Kids (and grown ups) might like to write a postcard to a local hero soldier.

Perhaps enjoy a cuppa and an ANZAC biscuit in the heritage garden. Our vintage trucks and tractors will parade around the park at 11am. Next to the old fruit packing shed you can see working stationary engines humming along. You can also watch the blacksmith busy at work.

If you are a car enthusiast, you will be enthralled with The Vintage Sports Car Club of Australia’s display of various vehicles in the heritage precinct.

We will have some activities for kids as well; dress up clothes, ANZAC colouring pictures and maybe challenge mum or dad in a game of quoits or marbles.
