The Sydney Hills & District Branch of the Association of Independent Retirees celebrated their 30th Anniversary on Friday 14th April.
Good attendance and high spirits were the order of the day when the members and guests met to celebrate 30 years of supporting retirees with information and advocacy.
We heard from a number of speakers including Stan Goodacre (Honorary Life Member), National President (Wayne Strandquist) and Julian Leeser (local Federal MP).
They reflected on the dozens of advocacy wins for retirees by branch members and the national association over the years.
After the cutting of the 30th Anniversary cake, members shared some highlights from the past before enjoying some refreshments and animated conversation.
