Girl Guides Australia has four achievement Awards for girls to work towards and gain a great sense of accomplishment. The first award is the Junior BP Award. To receive this award, the girls need to have made or renewed their Girl Guide Promise and be an active member of their unit and patrol. Even during COVID, Galston Guides held Online Guiding meetings via Microsoft Teams.
The achievement of the Junior BP Award indicates that the Junior Guide has done her best and challenged herself by:
• Participating in a range of outdoor and leisure activities
• Developing leadership skills within her Guide unit
• Learning to make decisions, set goals and work as part of a team.
After 18 months of hard work, both Mellica Devadas and Lola Perrin completed the required challenges to receive this award.
