Roxborough Park Rose Garden is in bloom. The rose garden, located in Baulkham Hills, draws people from far and wide for picnics, family outings, weddings, formals and some even visit the park for the picture-perfect selfie.
There are more than 6000 roses and 80 different species which have been carefully manicured into the Alice in Wonderland inspired layout.
Many of the varieties have been donated by local nurseries and rose societies.
Some of the special roses on display include the Australian Bi-Centennial Rose, The Hills Shire Council Rose and the Olympic Gold Rose.
Located next to the rose garden is Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre.
The family-friendly centre includes an outdoor heated 50m pool, enclosed learn-to-swim pool and undercover baby’s pool, fitness centre, café and grassy open space.
Outside of the leisure centre is a playground suitable for young children. A slide, set of swings and an imaginative play area make up the play space.
There’s also plenty of open space to roll out a blanket and enjoy a picnic with your nearest and dearest.
