The Rural Fire Service (RFS) has issued a Total Fire Ban for the Greater Sydney Region due to high fire danger.
During a Total Fire Ban, it is illegal to light, maintain, or use a fire in the open, or to carry out any activity in the open that causes, or is likely to cause, a fire.
To keep our community safe, we have closed all Council-operated bushland walking tracks and mountain bike trails across the Shire until further notice.
Please do your part to prevent bushfires by following these rules:
- Do not light, maintain, or use a fire in the open.
- Do not carry out any activity in the open that causes, or is likely to cause, a fire.
- Avoid bushland areas on high fire danger days.
- Be aware of your surroundings and report any fires to the RFS immediately.
