ARCADIA PUBLIC SCHOOL – EXCELS IN CULTURE AND WELLBEING!

Life’s good at Arcadia Public School, especially when you can balance, build, create, problem solve, socialise and generally have huge amounts of fun in our spectacular new sandpit playground! The incredible creative design skills of Fiona and Matt at Architects of Arcadia and the talented ‘artisans’ from Furnass Landscaping have combined to produce this one of a kind playground in our beautiful school. The sandpit playground has come about because of the initiative and efforts our fabulous P&C, the outstanding support of the Galston Branch of the Bendigo Bank and generous funding from Federal Local Schools and Community grants – thank you very much Mr Leeser MP, we are incredibly grateful. The sandpit playground features beautiful sandstone pieces, over one hundred years old, donated by Mr Bob Burgess – very Arcadian!

Congratulations to Ella in Year 6. Her fabulous artwork was recently selected from over 5,000 entries to be awarded as a finalist in the Interrelate 2020 ‘Say No to Bullying’ poster competition. Ella’s success fits in beautifully with our whole school philosophy. At Arcadia PS there is a collective responsibility for student wellbeing shared by staff, students and parents to ensure optimum conditions for student learning across the whole school. This was highlighted in the NSW Department of Education external validation process in June with Arcadia PS positioned as Excelling in both Learning Culture and Wellbeing. An outstanding achievement!

Please phone the school on 9653-1207, visit Facebook page and view our website www.arcadiaschool.com.au for enrolment information to discover more about Arcadia Public School.
