There’s an app for that.. What are people using

Over the past year I have talked about a lot of Apps that I have used. However, this time I thought it might interesting to see what Apps other people use. So I did a very quick survey of patrons and staff at my local coffee shop, ‘The Local Collective’, in Galston.

Catherine likes Apple Wallet as she has saved a credit card so she can now use Apple Pay on her phone. She finds this very convenient. Often she will also, use the Wallet to store her boarding passes.

Rachel, sitting with her two lovely young sons, likes to use the Instagram App. She finds it easier to connect with friends and share photos.

Scott likes to chill and take on the challenge of Candy Crush. Candy Crush is the most popular App game and has been downloaded over 2.5 billion times. Don’t underestimate the benefit of playing a challenging game to keep your mind active.

Kim, the owner of ‘The Local Collective’, said his favourite App is Receipt Bank. This App is great for small businesses because as soon as an invoice or receipt comes in it can be scanned creating a paperless filing system.

Josh, who works at ‘The Local Collective’ and the youngest I surveyed, doesn’t have a computer so loves the fact you can do online banking on the phone. Many people no longer have computers and rely on the Apps on their tablets and phones to keep in touch with people, research, bank and search for information.

There are over 2 million apps available. These are just a few that I have found throughout the years of helping people with their Apple devices and computers.
