RUSH OF NEW BOWLERS – AT DURAL COUNTRY CLUB

Four new ladies are about to embark on a bowling career having taken advantage of the free lessons at the club. They are realising what a challenging game it is and are already enjoying the social side of bowling.

Recent events finalised are the ladies’ triples and the mixed pairs. The ladies’ triples was a win for Kath Sach, Eileen Bromley and Robin Davidson who needed all their experience to defeat Ruth Keene, Diane Trovato and Christine Fitzgerald.

A new pair of Christine Fitzgerald and Stuart (rt) Yeend played flawless bowls to defeat Nick Sheerin and Judith Harris, who although playing good bowls, had no answer except to make them play at their best right to the end. They all participated in the Triples Carnival on the following Monday when teams came from far and wide to enjoy four short games and lunch at Fedele’s.
