News from Galston Early Learning Centre

We have started 2019 with a positive start and over the holiday break the educators have been able to enjoy, relax and refresh their minds to start a New Year. On the first day back we updated our CPR First Aid Training and had team discussions in regards to our vision for the centre for 2019.

We have decided that our main focus this year will be to review our centre philosophy, through including the children’s voices as well as educator, family and community input. We would like to create a philosophy that reflects our unique service as a whole and try to capture our values and vision for the centre moving forward.

While starting to reflect upon our centre philosophy, there was one particular thought that came into my mind; we have a supportive, passionate and caring team here at Galston, who are always thinking of how we can improve our service for the children within our care.

Here is just a typical example of how the educators work above and beyond their job role:

At the end of 2018 and over the holiday break one of our valued educators, Amy Kosilo took her time out to find, sand down and paint this lovely boat which is now out in our playground!

I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Amy Kosilo for all her hard work throughout this time.

The children have absolutely loved this new addition to our playground and we look forward to going on many more play adventures in our new boat in future!

If you have any further questions in regards to our centre please feel free to contact the Centre Director Daniela Balmer on 9653 1475.
