Molly Sharp is 100

By Lizzie Carrick
Mavis Mary Elizabeth Sharp more fondly known as Molly Sharp born 17th April 1922 just celebrated her 100th birthday in all it’s finery.

The fantastic venue that is Glenorie RSL Club, run by the superb Donna, was perfect.

Sunny weather, a live 5 piece swing band, great staff, all in the elegant downstairs room and garden.

Platters of delicious morsels created by the club’s head chef, Tearo, was divine… from oysters to satay chicken, it was all marvellous!

Molly is well known in our village and has lived in the community for many years.

She was a volunteer at Galston Vinnies back in its day and is a valued member of the View Club.

She didn’t wish for gifts so asked her 54 guests to donate generously to her View Club charity…. $1000 has been raised.

This elegant, beautiful and witty woman is the best Mother, Grandmother and Great- Grandmother not to mention a best friend to many.

We celebrate you marvellous Molly, the world would be a little dimmer if you were not in it to bring such light, joy and inspiration!

You are so loved
