KU Galston Preschool

We have had a wonderful start to the year. Many families are making use of our new extended hours with the children enjoying their time at preschool. The children are all settled and new friendship groups are developing. Last week we were lucky enough to have Mrs Crouch the kindergarten teacher from Arcadia Public School visit to talk to the children about ‘big” school, reading a story about their beautiful school and what it has to offer. The children were able to ask Mrs Crouch questions about big school, it was a wonderful opportunity to develop ties with our local community. We look forward to having their band play and having the year 5 buddies visit later in the year.

Last week the children enjoyed “Drum Beats” and interactive music session where the children were able to experiment with the drums exploring rhythm and beat. They also learnt a few new songs “hey mumbo jumbo” and the ‘heartbeat song”. It was wonderful to see the children learning to interact with their peers with care, empathy and respect as they shared the drums.

We are all donning our dancing shoes and practicing our moves in preparation for our upcoming disco next Friday night. We have Bop til You Drop coming to entertain the children and will be having a sausage sizzle dinner as our first official preschool function- we cannot wait!

We still have a few vacancies on a Monday, Thursday or Friday. If you would like further information, please contact our director Rebecca Onslow on 9653 2252 or at [email protected]
