Junior Rep Players in Action

Galston Netball Club is proud to have 10 of its junior players selected to play in the Hills District Representative Teams this year, playing in the U11s, U12s and U13s. These girls have been hard at training twice week at Pennant Hills since the start of the year. The first weekend in April saw them all play in one of the major carnivals in Penrith which gave them a good workout. With club training also well underway, the girls are training now 3 times a week and taking their skills to another level. We can’t wait to see them in action for the club this month.

Elsewhere, as our first NetSetGO clinic of 2019 wrapped up for the term, we were lucky to have Maddy Turner from the NSW Swifts with us to present the players with their certificates. The wet weather meant that training didn’t go ahead on the day, but thanks to Galston Public School for making their library available, the girls were able to meet Maddy. A big thank you to Maddy for giving her time up, I know the girls, parents, coaches and all at the club were very appreciative. We are pleased to be able to offer another NetSetGO clinic in Term 2, this will run for 7 weeks starting Thursday 16th May. We hope to see many new and returning NetSetGOers!

Galston Netball Club fields teams aged 6 years to adult in the Hills District Netball Association winter competition.
