Ingrid Akkari

INGRID AKKARI – ANIMAL JUSTICE PARTY CANDIDATE FOR KELLYVILLE A mum of two young children and local primary school teacher, Ingrid has spent much of her life dedicated to fighting for the welfare of animals and people through her work-life and volunteering ventures. Previously, Ingrid worked providing respite care for children with disabilities and volunteered assisting those who are disadvantaged, including cooking to feed the homeless. She also volunteers her time at an animal sanctuary caring for rescues. For Ingrid, running in this state election means bringing about justice for animals, people and the planet. In particular, she considers protecting local bushland and habitats an important issue for Western Sydney. Specifically the protection of areas such as the Cumberland Plains, where development has caused harsh impacts on many species. Ingrid is proud to be representing the Animal Justice Party this election, sending a clear message to the government that these issues need to be a priority. It is clear to her that communities need strong voices in parliament to speak out against these issues, which is what Ingrid hopes to achieve in this election.
