GALSTON RURAL FIRE BRIGADE NEWS

Bushfire Strike Teams
Galston fires have had a busy start to this year’s fire season with crews fighting fires in strike teams all across NSW. The latest deployments have been to the out of control Gospers Mountain fire in the Wollemi National Park. The huge fire caused large amounts of smoke to blanket areas of Sydney and cause air quality to plummet. Firies backburnt close to properties in the areas around Wisemans Ferry, Webb Creek and Grey Gums in order to establish containment lines.

The Annual Galston Village Santa Run and Free Santa photos
Santa Claus will be visiting Galston Village on Sunday 22nd December 2019.

This year we’re also offering a chance for families to come and take a photo sitting with Santa in front of the firetruck from 12pm- 2pm at the Galston RFB station. Then, from 4pm the much loved and anticipated Santa Run event will see Santa travel the streets of Galston riding on the big red firetruck greeting all the boys and girls.
