Galston Rotary Club Awards

At the recent Galston Rotary Club Changeover, the Club honoured the principal of Galston High School, Jillian Tourlas and deputy principals Lisa Pieper and Julia Petrulis with a Paul Harris Fellow in recognition for the contribution to the community. Their work involving the community with the Galston High School community and vice versa, goes well beyond the call of employment within the education system. Galston community is a better place because of their commitment to both education and the community by these teachers. They were also inducted as honorary members of the Rotary Club of Galston. Presentation was made by outgoing president Richard Young.

Pictured right is the outgoing President of Galston Rotary Club, Richard Young, presenting donations to the four local Rural Fire Service captains from Arcadia, Galston, Glenorie and Middle Dural. The Rural Fire Services are an integral part of our community and Rotary is pleased to continue it’s support.

The Galston Rotary Club meets on Tuesday evenings at The Galston Club. All residents are welcome to come along to have dinner and see what we do.
