EDUCATION WEEK OPEN DAY, saw students participating in a Book Character Parade where many bright, colourful and extremely clever ‘Superheroes’ costumes were on display. Congratulations to the Senior Band which gave an enjoyable performance and students who received an award at the Honour Assembly. A Book Fair was supported by families who generously donated new and engaging books to the Library, and Open Classrooms which offered a delightful time for parents and visitors alike to share their children’s efforts. To conclude this wonderful day many families/parents and carers enjoyed a delicious morning tea and lunch menu which was organised by the P&C Canteen and Fundraising committees.
As part of the Combined Primary Choir at the Arts Alive Choral Concert held at the Sydney Town Hall our students gave an outstanding performance. They experienced a wonderful opportunity that will form lasting memories.
In the last week of Term 3 the School Representative Council (SRC) raised $268.00 to support the Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation’s ‘Stay in Bed’ day with its Pyjama Day. This money raised will go towards assisting research into the diagnosis, treatment and cure of the debilitating mitochondrial disease.
Congratulations to our Stage 3 Debating team who currently stands undefeated! The team has successfully argued the affirmative side of the last two debates. A great effort.
