Galston High School News

Grease is the word!

Rehearsals are in full swing ready for our biennial musical production. This year we are very excited to be presenting the ever-popular ‘Grease’.

In May students travelled to Vision Valley Recreation Centre for our Musical Camp. The students worked incredibly hard across the two days and the music, acting and choreography is sounding and looking great. We are very excited to share the performances with the school community next term. The students would like to thank ex-students Natasha Schuddeboom and Annabelle Pearce for their amazing work with the choreography and Eliza Florian for her expertise in acting and vocal training with our leads.

Year 11 Crossroads Camp

Year 11 have recently returned from the Snowy Mountains where they completed the Crossroads program. The camp began with the Driver Education RYDA program that is kindly sponsored by Rotary. We then journeyed to Berridale where, over the next three days we were challenged with a number of activities including climbing Mt Kosciuszko, raft building, canoeing, the assault course, manoeuvres and personal development programs. Thank you to Mrs Searle for all the organisation and for once again tackling the mountain, even if she needed a walking stick which she insisted was a trekking pole!
