Dural Scouts Clean Up Australia

Clean Up Australia Day is held in March each year and Dural Scouts always look forward to participating.

They know that joining in Clean Up Australia Day is a step towards maintaining and protecting our environment. All ages can come along, and participation counts towards their Community Service badge.

The scouts worked in pairs and collected rubbish from the bushland surrounding the Scout Hall in Galston Road and the adjacent oval. Many bags-full were collected, both recyclable and non-recyclable as well as a several small items of dumped furniture. The bulk of the rubbish collected included drink cans, plastic bottles, coffee cups and take-away containers.

Our scouts look forward to Clean Up Australia Day next year, so they can do their bit to protect the environment and, of course, earn another badge!

Dural Scout Group has vacancies now for Girls and Boys from 5 to 25 years. Joeys (5yo), Cubs (8yo), Scouts (12yo) and Venturers (16yo).
