Dural Bocce Club has had one of its livelier months on record, with July delivering the kind of competition that a quiet June simply couldn’t match. Members spent the month chasing points in the club’s total score format, where every game played counts toward a final tally and the top three earn bragging rights.
Tuesday’s regulars watched Peter take the honours, with Mary and Leonie not far behind in second and third. Friday night belonged to Rose, who edged out Nick and Tony for the win, keeping the weekend crowd on its toes.
Then came Sunday July 26th, when Dural sent a squad to Club Marconi for the Bocce New South Wales Open Doubles Championship. Playing against the state’s best, Oreste and Peter brought home third place, a result members are still raising a glass to.
Whatever the day of the week, there’s a warm welcome waiting on the courts under The Dural Club, Tuesday mornings or Friday evenings alike. Curious locals can come watch, have a roll themselves, or just ask questions — the club can be reached anytime at [email protected].
