Dural Bocce Club kept a steady March schedule, with Tuesday morning and Friday evening games running without interruption. Members marked Easter with a small celebration — a club regular distributed chocolate eggs before play.
The club runs an unusual team-selection system. Where most sports lock in rosters at the start of a season, Dural draws names from a hat on game day. No one knows their teammates until they arrive. The result is mixed-skill teams each round, which flattens the competitive gap and keeps results unpredictable.
There’s a fitness angle too. A single bocce game covers roughly 1,500 steps. Members play two games per session, putting a full visit close to 3,000 steps — not a bad return for an afternoon on the green.
The club plays at The Dural Club on Tuesdays and Fridays. New members can reach them at [email protected].
