The Dural Bocce Club has commenced the year 2026 with renewed enthusiasm among its members. Weekly games resumed in mid-January after a brief Christmas hiatus, with participants eager to re-engage in the club’s vibrant social activities.
In February, the club adopted a total pointscore competition format, whereby players’ scores are accumulated over a four-week period, culminating in awards for the top performers. This month, Guido claimed first place, while Tony and Ellis secured the second and third spots, respectively. The next pointscore competition is scheduled for April.
Additionally, February marked the club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), during which President Nick welcomed members and detailed the club’s achievements from the previous year. The elections for this year’s committee were held, resulting in a successful re-election of the incumbent executive committee alongside the appointment of new ordinary committee members, Mary and Martin.
The Dural Bocce Club invites anyone interested in trying their hand at the sport to join their games, held every Tuesday morning and Friday evening at The Dural Club.
