COVID-19 HORNSBY UPDATE

We can certainly say that 2020 is testing us as a community and a country. I know many have been hit hard, but I have been proud to see Hornsby coming together during this crisis. We have seen businesses go above and beyond for their customers, neighbours doing shopping for vulnerable members of the community and a wonderful show of homemade displays on ANZAC day. We truly are so lucky to live in such an amazing community.

The NSW Government understands our state is doing it tough and we have announced a number of iniatives to help our community and local business. I have outlined just some of these below but full details and information can be found online at nsw.gov.au/covid19 or you can contact Service NSW which is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week on 13 11 88.

If you are worried you might have symptoms, do not wait, get tested. You can contact your GP, ring Healthdirect on 1800 022 222 or attend the Hornsby Hospital COVID Clinic between 10am and 8pm. In an Australian first, we have released a heat map which can show you by postcode how many local active COVID-19 cases there are, as well as how many have recovered and how many tests have been completed. You can access the heat map online also at nsw.gov.au/covid19. If you are unable to go online perhaps a friend or family member can assist.

As your State MP I am here to help the community in any way I can. My office is open for phone calls on 9476 3411 or via email on [email protected]. Please reach out if you need assistance.
